Coera
Succeed together.
Coera is an app for building a bridge between different teams or departments within organisations to enhance collaboration which results in effectiveness and better decisions and outcomes.
Problem Statement
Sometimes teams in organisations do not deliver most innovative, creative outcomes.
Possible Solutions
Teams or departments work in silos, which could potentially limit their ability to exchange ideas and collaborate with each other, so creating such environment for collaboration would be a reasonable solution.
Qualitative Research
A qualitative research interview with open-ended questions carried out face-to-face was aimed at understanding the structure and nature of working at company X and reveal any potential pain points of its’ employees.
-
Do you feel free to collaborate with other teams at your organisation? Do feel free to reach out to your colleague from another department to ask for help or to get his opinion whenever you feel it would be beneficial for your project or task?
-
Do you always feel that your idea is appreciated by your internal manager? Do you feel that your voice is always heard inside your team?
-
Do you have any roadblocks inside your team when presenting your idea or point of view? What feelings do you have when presenting your ideas or opinions?
-
Do you feel that there is no sense of hierarchy at your workplace and you always feel as important as the rest of your colleagues? Is everyone equally treated and important regardless of their seniority level or position?
-
Do you feel that you have an impact on decision making processes and can contribute as anyone else in your workplace? Is your idea or opinion always considered by your manager and taken seriously?
Key Insights
The most common feeling of the participants was that they don’t make an impact on projects or company they work for as they’re being stopped by their managers/leaders or other team members. As an effect they feel that they can’t develop their ideas further and can’t grow as professionals at their workplace, which leads to being less proactive and engaged at work. They loose passion and willingness to make a change for better.
Quantitive Research
The quantitive research based on anonymous on-line surveys was aimed at measuring relationships and interactions between employees with lower seniority level and managers or leaders of the teams or departments who have decision-making powers.

Occupation
Junior Brand Designer
-
My goal is to gain more recognition at work so that I can present and develop my ideas to the whole company. I want to grow as a Brand Designer and achieve more every year.
-
I feel I can’t push my ideas forward as I’m being blocked by the workflow of my team. I don’t have enough communication about my ideas with members of other teams, other leaders or stakeholders, which stops me from growing at my workplace. I feel like it could be because I’m a Junior Designer and have less importance.
-
I need my ideas to be heard, sometimes outside my team. I want to get a wider view on my ideas, or get feedback from people with a different skillset and perspective.
-
My motivation is my passion for visual, brand design. I’m also passionate about online marketing and its’ potential these days. I think it’s very big and still grows, which gives fantastic opportunities for creative ideas.
